messing up my body clock

I slept at 2am. Well around that time anyway. I still remember because I knew I insisted on sleeping already since I had to wake up early for work the next day, (today) and guess what. I am now awake and it’s not even 7am yet.

Argh. I’m most likely going to have a headache later and it’s my own fault. But I’d rather blame it on the mint baileys…

Exciting times ahead

Last year, I came up with a theme – Adventures. The lack of blog posts didn’t really help acknowledge the adventures I went through, but I assure you, it was a very apt theme. From my comfort zone, I moved on and forward, and I truly felt going out of my shell. I still feel the need to document, but I guess I like talking about the present, so you’ll probably be seeing snippets only of those adventures.

This year, marks, yet again, another special year. Very soon, I’ll be ending my “Twenty-something” blog theme as I reach the big 3-0. As with 2008, I’m creating a theme to set my “game” of the year. I’ve been thinking about it a few days already, and some of my possible themes had been “growth”, “change” and a good fair bit, “letting go”. For one reason or another though, it didn’t seem right.

With due respect to my upcoming thirty self, the theme I’ve chosen is Celebration. As “growth” and “change” seems to be inevitable anyway, Celebration involves several things, including letting go of my twenties self, and finally acknowledging, appreciating and celebrating the peak years they call 30′s. I intend to celebrate, also, successes, friendships, loved ones, occassions, work life, and learnings.

So Cheers, 2009! Give me your best shot!

What’s your theme for the year?

Thanks again to Steve Shapiro as I reaffirmed my need for a purpose.

Let’s fly

I’m flying next month to Pinas for a day. My flight leaves at 1:20am and returning on 12:45am the next day. As it’s only a very short trip, I plan to just stay at one place (ideally the mall), and do anything and everything I can.

Here are some of the things I’m planning to do (most of them I can’t do here kse it’s too expensive)

  • Have tocino and egg breakfast
  • Still haven’t decided what I want for lunch…
  • Wonder if there’s still bibingka, coz I want that one as well, preferably for merienda :P
  • Have kare-kare or sinigang for dinner.. yum yum!
  • Shopping (although not too much, as I’m on a go-lite fare and only allowed 7 kilos).
  • Rebond (although this takes too much time, hmmm) or hotoil or straightening or curling
  • Manicure/pedicure/hand spa / foot spa
  • Massage!!!
  • Dentist
  • Annual checkup (hmmm although this may require me to go back…)

Hmm wonder if I can do all these for roughly 9 hours? Hehehe! Any other suggestions no what to do???

my delayed 5 (2008)…

Kris, here goes – my 5 events of 2008….

Explanation here

  1. The biggest would have to be my Singapore move, from taking that leap and making the choice of where to go and what to do. Life has not necessarily been easier after, but it’s been more interesting. And on it’s own, I can think of 5 other things to fill in the blanks, but would rather keep that as a separate entry.
  2. Xpress… okay this is part of Singapore, but it also deserves its own spot. Because most of my time in SG was spent at work anyway. And I know I’ve complained how all I did was work, sometimes how “slave-driver” the company can be, but it also gave me perspective and humility. Definitely made ups and downs.
  3. Like the year before, I considered traveling to be one of my top 5. Hmmm let’s see…. there’s Pinas journeys – Palawan, Clark, Taal… then there’s Asia – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand.. and twice in Dubai. Where to this year?
  4. Beau bear. My brother and sis in law gave birth to Beau Cyrus, who we’re fondly calling Beau Bear (and who I call Snickers, just because). He’s the cutest baby ever and has got the most nakakagigil laugh. I’ve seen him in three stages already but after the latest new year visit, it might take a while to see him again.
  5. One week affair times two….

Happy New Year, po…

I’ve already posted some posts (somehow irrelevant already), but since it’s new years, and I’m not doing much right now, I’m finally taking my blog out of maintenance mode… aiyoh! Sensya ang tagal. Didn’t really do much… just didn’t do anything actually.

Hehehe!

Happy new year!
