Until I realized, it’s not so bad to shine after all.

From bottom 3 to top 4… how’s that for improvement?

Among other things, I’m extremely irritated. I can go on and on how, but it’s a waste of blog space. My last post was a rant already, and I don’t want to make another. Anyway, just shout outs for now to everyone out there, for now. Next week hopefully this blog is more active. Hehe.

Leaving you with something that made me smile. HEROES is coming back SOON. Very very soon! I’ve told myself not to read into spoilers because it can be quite disappointing watching the actual when you already know so much (kaya nga spoiler eh!). But I just couldn’t help myself. Today, when too many things have gone bad, I need to do get away. So here are a few. Please do not click more if you do not want to read more.

SPOILERS

• We open four years in the future, with the oft-talked about scene where Future Claire aims a gun at Future Peter and pulls the trigger. Well of course you can’t kill a guy who can stop time. Future Peter does just that and disappears into the past, where …

• Future Peter shoots Nathan at the press conference, as seen at the end of “Powerless” in Season 2. His reasons: to stop Nathan from revealing the existence of super-powered people. After shooting Nathan, Future Peter assumes the identity of Present Peter. [We later find out where Present Peter has been keeping himself throughout all this.] Future Peter’s ploy doesn’t fool Matt Parkman, who can read his mind. Unfortunately for Matt, Future Peter teleports him to the desert seen in the promos. As it turns out, it’s more a question of when then where Matt has been teleported. [It is hinted at, I believe, that Matt has been transported back in time. Way, way back in time.] Mama Petrelli later shows up at the hospital where Nathan is being kept, and presumably through the use of her powers, knows that Peter is not Peter.

Well, whether it was sarcastic or meant as just a joke, I’m half day today… and I’m so happy.

Woohoo!

The day before Marj left, we brought her to the Singapore Flyer, which is a giant observation wheel similar to the London Eye. It was my second time to ride the Flyer (the first time was when good friend Laine was around to visit). During my first time to ride, I hardly used my camera because the shots weren’t good at all. Laine brought her tripod though, and she was able to take some decent shots, although it had just rained in the afternoon, so you could still see the rain drops when you’d take a shot.

This time around, I didn’t need a tripod. The shutter speed was fast and the aperture was big enough to capture the scene I wanted. Of course with a tripod, it would have taken some better shots, but for a non-photoshoot activity, this would have to do.

My only comment was the irritating “blue light” and the “exit light” that was reflected from the inside the capsule. I didn’t know how to take it out, and for some reason, most of my scenes, I couldn’t avoid it.

This was one scene where I was able to avoid the blue light. But the scene was better on the other side.

On another day, I also had drinks at New Asia bar with some friends. This was a cocktail bar on the penthouse of Swissotel (one of the tallest hotels in Singapore and the same hotel my sis and Baji also stayed in when they were here) that had spectacular view of the city. Just imagine having some cocktails with a fantastic view. Perfect night cap and some shots.

If you come to visit, definitely go to New Asia bar. Not recommending the Flyer though, unless you really want to be a “tourist” and catch all the scenes of Singapore from different views.

Going. Our “ampon” roomate who stayed a little over a month with us left last Saturday. For the past few weeks, its been such a treat to have her there, with her daily uppers, sugar high moments. Now with a week gone, I can truly feel the difference of not having her around. For starters, she’d always remind us to de-stress, and by that she means, let’s go party! So when she was around, we had several bonding moments and night outs, which was uber fun.

Marj… thank you for all the uppers, the sha-lala lingo, the haircut (sayang, hindi na natuloy ang bangs, bangs ever!) the spa and gym moments, the *shake-body-body-dancer-dancing”, the wa-poise laugh, and all the other wacky crazy times. For all that and more. I’m glad to have known you… and I will really miss you. I wish you success wherever you may go! *Bugis*

Coming and Going. Before Marj left, we met up with Mhinx, my friend from Dubai who came for a short visit. He joined my roommates and I in dropping of Marj to the airport, before we headed off to a night out, along with his brothers, Minx, Mingx (kulit nila diba?) and their friend. It was a crazy, fun, and tiring night. After the band in the first bar where we were dancing, took a 15 minute break, we hopped to another bar, and danced some more, only to go back to the first bar when the band got back. And of course, sayawan uli! Ang saya! Our cool down session was hopping to another bar, where we had another round of drinks and shisha! It seemed like such a workout because of the aching muscles at the end of the day.

Met up with Mhinx a couple of times after that, and was a great thing that I wasn’t as loaded in the office. I was able to bring him around to some of the places, most memorable was a food trip session for chili crab, and other *Singapore* delicacies. Lafang, lafang ever. He and his brothers left last Wednesday. Thanks Mhinx! Saya saya! Sa susunod, lakwatsa sa Dubai naman.

Coming. Business must be going well for our office, because this week, we had new people in our department, specifically one in our team. I don’t think I’ve talked about my office too much (unless it’s to complain that it was all I do). Although the department itself is big, our team is new. Since I started, my boss and I have been a 2-woman team, with me, being the “assistant”, left with all the nitty gritty, dirty jobs. Hence, the late crazy hours. With our new teammate on board this week, I feel that work is going to be easier hereon *cross fingers*.

In another team, we have another pinay on board, who happens to also be a photo enthusiast, and a certified party girl. Over the weekend, we were supposed to go dancing, but at the last moment, I remembered the age limit of the bar I was going to. I could have gone to another bar, but I was with my roomates who have become regulars already. Oh well.. don’t worry Jen, there’s other parties!

And finally, Going. Although our sales department has grown, our Pinoy friends from the other department will be heading back to Pinas. Last Friday was their last day in the office. They will now be based in Manila. It *might* now be a little harder because I super feel the lack of creative staff. With more people in the sales, it makes more sense to support the sales with more designers. But it feels a bit backward this way. Oh well, there’s still email…

So there. I’ll try to post some pics within the week also.

I’m such a late bloomer. When AI launched 7 years back, I didn’t pay much attention. Maybe it was because I suddenly have access to TV (with Star World) recently, that I stayed tune to Season 7′s American Idol. Either that, curiousity over the Pinoy’s bet – Ramiele, or I was totally bored and needed to find another addiction.

I just watched the much awaited David vs. David Grand Finale, where, as per judges, little D stole the show in a knock out performance. Irregardless though, big D still stole my heart away and gave me shivers with his first performance “I Still Haven’t Found what I’m Looking For”. It must be the ultimate package that I’m looking for, because even though little D seemed to sing all the right things at the right time, it was big D’s softie but toughie image, hunk appeal, concert king-ish stage presence, originality AND awesome voice that would get me to choose to buy his record instead. Not to say little D doesn’t have it – but I just prefer the rough and raw style that is big D’s.

In a couple of hours they’ll be crowning the new Idol. And just for prediction’s sake, I say it goes to David Archuleta. But just for me, and my votes doesn’t even count… David Cook, you are my American Idol.

• it’s my me time – mornings usually don’t have me-time as by then i’m thinking that *faster, faster, i (am/will be) late.
• hot showers in the morning is good, but only until i start walking to the bus stop *i feel extra hotter, and want to jump into a cold shower*. hot showers at night is perfect.
• it calms my mind, and speedens up relaxation
• i fall into deeper slumber when i have a good shower.
